Neketa Buck is the Founder and Director of Safetec Group, bringing seven years of WHSEQ experience supported by more than 30 years of combined director-level expertise across the organisation. His career began in a medical role within the Australian Defence Force, later progressing into WHSEQ roles across major mining and power generation sites. These experiences shaped his belief in the importance of strong systems, practical implementation and genuine safety culture.
He founded Safetec Group after recognising how many businesses were overwhelmed by compliance or relying on generic, ineffective safety systems. Neketa wanted to make WHSEQ accessible, practical and tailored – helping organisations improve compliance, reduce incidents and operate more efficiently.
Neketa enjoys working closely with business owners to identify challenges and develop sustainable solutions. Under his leadership, Safetec has delivered major outcomes, including building a full HSEQ system for a large mining company and helping another organisation reduce incidents by 80–90% through mentoring and cultural improvement.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Health, Safety and Environment from Curtin University, along with certifications in injury management, case management, ISO lead auditing and management systems. Based in Perth, he enjoys staying active and continually exploring new ways to enhance Safetec’s services.
